Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has sparked fresh debate with allegations about the final days of late actor Alex Ekubo.
She responded to statements from the Ekubo family, particularly one by David Ekubo, who highlighted limited access to the actor before his death.
Inyama claimed a well-known Nigerian pastor, described as one of the biggest and kindest, offered substantial help.
“David Ekubo, I know how difficult it was for you to come here. I know how far you went for dialogue,” she stated.
She alleged the pastor tried repeatedly to assist but faced consistent blocks. According to Inyama, the wife reportedly said Alex was fine.
“The pastor was not even told when Alex was in hospital; he was only called when Alex died,” Inyama added.
She emphasized the pastor was not promising miracles. Instead, he was prepared to foot any medical bills anywhere in the world.
Inyama noted that cancer has multiple treatment options today. She questioned why genuine help for treatment would be turned away.
“Any genuine mother would accept help to try everything,” she wrote, addressing concerns directly.
The comments emerged after the Ekubo family publicly questioned the handling of Alex’s illness and funeral arrangements. Family members claimed they were not adequately informed or involved.
Reactions online remain divided. Some express sadness over the claims, while others call for caution and urge all parties to be heard fully.
Alex Ekubo’s death continues to generate discussions within the entertainment industry and beyond. The full circumstances around his treatment remain a subject of public interest.
