Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has declined to revisit her past disagreement with colleague Funke Akindele.
During an appearance on The Morayo Show on July 2, she responded to questions about the widely discussed incident.
“I don’t want to talk about it because I don’t like talking about my past,” Abraham stated.
She added, “First and foremost, I don’t wanna talk about it ‘cause I don’t like talking about my past. But everybody has the right to their reaction and actions.”
The actress further explained her stance on public comparisons.
“I don’t like when they pitch me against anyone. I just want to be me. I just want to be Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi,” she said.
Abraham also addressed handling criticism.
“There’s nothing anyone can say again now that’s going to get to me anymore,” she noted.
She described her responses to critics as lighthearted. “If I respond to you, it’s because I am just having fun with you. I want to play with you.”
The remarks come months after a March 29 incident at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film The Return of Arinzo. A video showed Abraham greeting Akindele, who appeared unresponsive.
This led to online debates, with Abraham later unfollowing her colleague on social media.
