Nigerian socialite and actress Funmi Awelewa has declared she no longer wants influencer Mandy Kiss in her life. The statement came in a series of Instagram posts responding to Mandy’s recent “workout with God” video.
Funmi detailed her position across multiple slides. She addressed claims that she did Mandy dirty, denying any deep involvement in her matters. She referenced her own struggles in 2022, describing herself as depressed and broke at the time.
In 2023, Funmi said she started afresh and experienced God’s faithfulness. She explained being mad at Mandy due to boundary issues. Funmi expressed discomfort with Mandy joking about the name of Almighty God, noting her family-oriented background where such matters are taken seriously.
She clarified that Mandy did not hurt or offend her. “For the record, Mandy you didn’t hurt me… you didn’t offend me,” Funmi wrote. However, she stated she does not want to be around her anymore because it would make her uncomfortable, describing herself as a selfish being in this context.
Funmi urged Mandy to stop dragging her name into the situation. She advised seeking forgiveness from the Creator and those offended, while encouraging a closer relationship with God and righteous living. She emphasized personal accountability and denied holding others responsible for her own past mistakes.
The actress challenged Mandy to specify what wrong she had done. “I challenge you to say what I did wrong,” she wrote. Funmi maintained she had done nothing to deserve the ongoing issues and has lived a lowkey lifestyle for years, pleading to be left alone.
In another section, Funmi defended herself against claims of spoiling Mandy’s life. She denied introducing her to any man and highlighted keeping quiet for three years. She questioned why Mandy could not publicly acknowledge endorsement deals she allegedly linked her to, mentioning brands like De’millionaire and Toplady’s hair.
Funmi also referenced knowing about Mandy’s “s*cking habit” which she reportedly hid. Despite tensions, she wished her the best and stated she would never wish her bad. The posts ended with a firm closure, signing off as “Irè.”
The drama has roots in earlier conflicts. Reports from 2023 show Mandy had called out Funmi, accusing her of two-faced behavior and speaking negatively behind her back after being unfollowed on social media.
Recent reactions on X (formerly Twitter) reflect divided opinions. Some users expressed surprise at the resurfaced feud, while others commented on Mandy’s video content. The exchange highlights ongoing tensions in their once-close godmother-goddaughter-like relationship.
Funmi noted tolerating the situation until her “cup was full.” She acknowledged blocking Mandy without a final conversation as her only mistake, believing Mandy was mature enough to handle it. She wished her a fresh start and prayed for healing so the past could be left behind.
The public back-and-forth continues to generate discussions online about friendships in the spotlight, boundaries, and personal growth. Both women have significant followings, and their exchanges often draw widespread attention. As of now, no further responses from Mandy have been widely reported in this latest round.
