Controversial social media influencer Saidaboj has publicly declared that relocating abroad, known as Japa, is now her only focus after years of believing in Nigeria's improvement.

The Kogi-born content creator, Sarah Idaji Ojone, shared her frustrations in a recent video that quickly circulated online.

"Before, if you talk to me about Japa I used to laugh because I believed Nigeria would get better. But right now, Japa is the only thing on my mind because Nigeria has failed me," she stated.

Saidaboj highlighted the crippling level of insecurity. She explained she cannot even visit her village for fear of being kidnapped on the road.

"Everything is too expensive, and poor people are suffering the most. Nigerians are living in fear. It feels like this country has been sold and we’re just left to suffer in it," she added.

Her comments come as nearly 3.7 million Nigerians have left the country in recent years, driven by economic hardship and safety concerns.

Saidaboj's past optimism has evaporated. She previously laughed off Japa suggestions, viewing them as defeatist. Her reversal reflects wider disillusionment among youths and professionals fleeing systemic failures.

Nigeria's insecurity remains a top priority for citizens, with surveys showing widespread perceptions of the country as unsafe.

Politicians have faced accusations of fueling the crisis for political gains. Senate President Godswill Akpabio recently claimed kidnappings serve as distractions against the current administration.

Such remarks have drawn sharp backlash, with many pointing to thousands of abductions and ongoing attacks across states.

Saidaboj, no stranger to controversy, has built a following through bold, often divisive statements. She faced platform bans after inflammatory comments on men and relationships.

Critics online have dismissed her latest outburst, citing her history of provocative content and past scandals involving public feuds. Some label her views as attention-seeking rather than genuine analysis.

Others agree with her assessment. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has decried persistent insecurity, warning the nation is "being killed."

Saidaboj's video underscores a harsh reality: many skilled Nigerians see no future at home. The brain drain continues unabated as living costs soar and safety deteriorates.

Her shift exposes the depth of national failure. Once hopeful voices now echo the Japa mantra, prioritizing survival over patriotism in a country many feel has abandoned its people.

Public reactions remain mixed, with some urging citizens to fight for change instead of fleeing. Yet for influencers like Saidaboj, the decision appears final. Nigeria's challenges persist without clear resolution in sight.
