Carter Efe has fired back at his former collaborator Kolu following public accusations of financial neglect and broken promises.

The exchange, which unfolded on social media and livestreams around June 9-10, 2026, highlights growing tensions between the popular Nigerian content creators.

Kolu had lamented his financial struggles, claiming he was unhappy, that things were not going well for him, and that he and Carter Efe had parted ways. He accused Carter of not taking him to shows, refusing to give money, and focusing solely on his own success.

In a direct response, Carter Efe addressed Kolu pointedly. "Kolu, you spent your money on a car and lots of girls, now you are coming to blame me for going broke. I gave you 1 million naira last week and I gave you 800k yesterday. You used all the money to smoke and carry girls."

He further detailed additional transfers, including 600k two days prior, emphasizing that Kolu often received funds only to exhaust them quickly on personal indulgences before returning for more.

This latest clash builds on earlier incidents. Kolu had previously expressed disappointment over not receiving a car gift from E-Money, similar to one given to Peller, and questioned why Carter did not facilitate such opportunities for him. Reports also surfaced of Kolu revealing past earnings from trips to London, where he reportedly received 7 million naira and spent 4 million on his own vehicle.

Carter Efe has maintained that he supported Kolu significantly, helping elevate him from limited means to substantial earnings within a short period. However, he now urges Kolu to take responsibility and build independently, like other streamers who have set up their own operations.

The public fallout has divided fans. Some defend Kolu, crediting his energy and presence for boosting Carter's streams and visibility. Others side with Carter, pointing to evidence of transfers and criticizing Kolu's spending habits as unsustainable in Nigeria's competitive content space.

This is not the first time money and partnerships have strained their relationship. Earlier banter and emotional outbursts on joint streams have drawn attention, but the current episode appears more pointed, with both parties airing grievances openly.

Observers note the absence of formal agreements in their collaboration, a common challenge in the informal creator economy. Carter's response includes screenshots of transactions, aiming to counter claims of stinginess.
