Nollywood veteran Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has shared insights into her choice of villainous roles in films. In a recent interview, the actress expressed pride in portraying such characters.
âI feel bold to expose the ills in society. Those things happen and nobody wants to expose them. I am exposing them. I am not like that, but I expose it,â Ozokwor stated.
She added that playing extremely wicked roles allows her to highlight real issues like family betrayals, greed, and mistreatment within households. According to her, these problems exist but often go unaddressed.
Ozokwor emphasised her commitment to strong performances. âWhen I act those roles, I want you to feel the pain, so that you will say no to that kind of behaviour,â she explained. She maintains high energy throughout to ensure the message lingers with audiences.
The Enugu-born actress, known for over 200 films since the late 1990s, clarified she is soft-hearted in real life. Fans sometimes fear her upon first meetings due to her screen persona, but she remains warm and approachable.
