Nollywood actress Judy Austin has broken her silence on fresh allegations from her ex-husband, Emmanuel Obasi. The claims surfaced after Obasi's emotional interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, which aired around mid-June 2026.
Obasi, who shares two children with Austin, alleged their marriage ended amid her admiration for Yul Edochie. He claimed she praised the actor openly while still under his roof and said he possesses evidence of their involvement during that period.
In a video response circulated on June 16, 2026, Austin firmly rejected the accusations. She stated her previous marriage concluded in March 2013. Austin insisted she first met Yul Edochie years later, specifically on a movie set in 2016.
“My ex-husband is lying against me. I never slept with Yul Edochie while still being married to him. My previous marriage ended in 2013, and I saw Yul Edochie for the very first time many years after,” she said.
Austin expressed frustration over the ongoing narrative. She described the claims as “the fattest lie ever told about me on social media.” The actress accused Obasi of abandoning their children and failing to provide proof of support or legal pursuit of custody.
“It hurts. Not once has he brought out evidence of taking care of these kids. Not once has he brought out any evidence of coming to court for custody,” Austin stated. She added that public campaigns have targeted her repeatedly.
She urged bloggers and critics to cease insulting Yul Edochie. “Please I am warning all you bloggers, stop insulting Yul Edochie, he has done nothing, absolutely nothing,” Austin said. She highlighted his role in supporting the children.
“If anything, he has helped me take care of the kids that are not his biological kids. When the man that gave birth to them abandoned them. He has helped me to be a father figure in their lives, put a roof over their heads,” she continued.
Austin described Yul as “a kind and awesome man” and questioned how a “deadbeat” could level such accusations without evidence. She warned of potential legal action to address the matter in court.
The development has sparked divided reactions on X (formerly Twitter). Many users debated timelines, parental responsibilities, and the broader pattern of celebrity family disputes in Nollywood. Some resurfaced older videos of Austin denying similar claims, while others questioned motives on both sides.
