Carter Efe was on top of the world just days ago.
The Nigerian comedian and streamer had skyrocketed to become Africa's most-followed on Twitch, boasting over 400,000 followers after a viral livestream with Davido that peaked at 83,000 viewers.
It was pure chaos, in the best way. Davido surprised everyone by showing up, connecting Efe to big names, and even shouting out Twitch's CEO.
Fans called it historic. Efe became the first African streamer to hit 20,000 subscribers.
But today, December 22, 2025, everything flipped.
Efe posted a simple image with broken heart emojis on X, sparking immediate concern.
Soon, screenshots flooded timelines showing his channel hit with a global temporary suspension for violating Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

No official reason from Twitch yet. Speculation is rife, some point to his high-energy, unfiltered style or recent stream antics, including mentions of suggestive moments with guests.
One post even claimed a 4-month ban, but most describe it as temporary.
Fans are heartbroken but supportive, flooding comments with appeals for Twitch to reinstate him.
"Bring back our joy giver," many plead.
Efe, known for hits like 'Omo Ologo' and rejecting massive offers to stay loyal to Twitch, now faces an uncertain wait.
Will he appeal successfully and return stronger?
The streaming world watches closely, this could be a bumpy comeback for the Machala king.
