Ugandan TikToker Shani Lips is once again at the center of a privacy scandal. Explicit videos showing her in intimate moments circulated widely on social media platforms starting around June 5, 2026.
The content included footage of her dancing topless in a thong and private scenes with an unidentified man. Netizens quickly shared the material across WhatsApp, Telegram, and X.
In a statement to Ibra Kayz of Tawfiq Media Ug, Shani clarified the origin of the recordings. She said the videos were made at her own request with her boyfriend using her phone.
However, she pointed to betrayal by a close friend. The individual knew her phone passcode and had access during house parties. Shani claimed the friend transferred the files to her own device.
"I recorded them with my boyfriend. I personally asked him to record them. But it’s not him who leaked those videos," she explained.
