Gospel singer Victoria Orenze has issued a strong emotional message about the state of Nigeria, warning that the country is heading toward divine judgment if the truth continues to be ignored.
In a heartfelt statement, Orenze reflected on the 2020 Lekki Tollgate shooting, revealing that she was physically present on the night peaceful #EndSARS protesters were attacked. According to her, the incident left a permanent scar on her heart, leading her to boycott the tollgate completely. She revealed she has not used it for five years as her personal stand for justice.
She lamented the rising killings and insecurity across the country, accusing some leaders and politicians of wickedness and dishonesty. Orenze said Nigeria’s problems are made worse by citizens who are willing to “sell out” one another for small money or political favors.
The gospel singer also criticized how tribalism has divided Nigerians — including Christians — saying that unity and truth must come before ethnicity. She compared the nation’s current challenges to the biblical story of Pharaoh, describing the situation as one that only God can overturn.
Orenze stressed that judgment does not come without warning, but the danger grows when people refuse to listen. She urged Nigerians to repent, reflect, and have the courage to stand for what is right.
