Israel DMW, longtime logistics manager to Afrobeats superstar Davido, has stirred political discourse with a blunt Instagram post.
He declared that winning elections in Nigeria depends on actual votes cast on election day, not online popularity.
"Wining an election in Nigeria isn't by popular opinions on social media space. It is by the highest votes cast on an election day," Israel wrote.
"I will rather pick a waybill for a friend in Warri, than to vote APC in 2027. N0nsense."
The post, shared on an Instagram picture, highlights his rejection of the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Israel's comment aligns with growing anti-APC sentiments in some online circles, though critics note that social media often fails to translate into polling booth victories.
One X user observed that APC relies on structured grassroots networks like market women and transport unions rather than Twitter trends.
This is not Israel DMW's first brush with controversy. The outspoken aide has faced public scandals, including a messy divorce from ex-wife Sheila, who expressed no regrets leaving the marriage.
More recently, BBNaija star Phyna accused him of impotence and inability to father children during a heated exchange, claims Israel has had to address amid ongoing online feuds.
Despite his loyalty to Davido, whom he often calls his benefactor, Israel's political jab adds to perceptions of him as a figure unafraid of stirring drama.
Observers suggest his statement reflects broader frustration with the APC but may carry little weight beyond entertainment circles.
As 2027 approaches, such celebrity interventions continue to fuel conversations about influence, votes, and reality on election day.
