In the latest chapter of a long-running social media conflict, influencer King Mitchy has issued a strong response to activist VeryDarkMan. The exchange centres on past claims linking her romantically to President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

King Mitchy, whose real name is Michelle Mukoro, addressed VDM directly in a recent video. She cited his alleged disrespect towards her pastor and the spread of an unsubstantiated sexual narrative involving Seyi Tinubu as reasons for her enduring resentment.

“The reason I hate VDM till date is cause he talked down on my pastor and came out with a narrative that Seyi Tinubu and I have sex,” she stated. “If I open that case you won’t survive cause you have no evidence but this time I won’t let things slide.”

The comment followed VDM’s remark under one of her posts, which many interpreted as mocking. Mitchy also revealed she contacted Seyi Tinubu days earlier but chose not to publicise the call at the time. She referred to VDM as “Mr. Lollipop,” alluding to earlier insinuations about his personal conduct.

The feud first intensified in late February 2026. It stemmed from Mitchy’s announcement of renovating a school in Delta State within six days, supported by donations including from Seyi Tinubu and others.

VDM questioned the authenticity of the project and her handling of philanthropic funds. He suggested the involvement of Seyi Tinubu served political image purposes, sparking accusations of improper ties.

Seyi Tinubu later addressed the matter publicly. He confirmed meeting Mitchy once in a public setting and providing support for her NGO work, similar to aid given to other causes. He rejected any insinuations of wrongdoing and stated he would not be bullied.

Mitchy issued an apology in March 2026. In the video, she expressed regret to Seyi Tinubu, VDM, and others for her conduct during heated exchanges. The apology followed backlash, including reports of account takedowns linked to VDM’s supporters.

Despite the earlier truce, tensions resurfaced this week. Mitchy defended her recent appeal to President Tinubu on insecurity issues. She posted test results to counter past rumours about substance use during the initial feud.

Public reactions on X remain divided. Some users praised Mitchy for defending her reputation and speaking on national issues. Others criticised both parties for prolonging personal drama amid broader societal challenges.

The conflict has drawn wider attention. Civil society groups previously condemned the pair’s earlier stunts, including videos appearing to involve harmful substances, which prompted police interest in Abuja.

Supporters of VDM, known as Ratels, have continued to challenge Mitchy’s claims. Meanwhile, her backers highlight her consistent philanthropic efforts and accuse VDM of selective activism.

Mitchy has positioned herself as a dedicated helper of the less privileged. VDM maintains his role as a watchdog against perceived hypocrisy in public figures and charity work.

As the latest exchange unfolds, observers note the personal toll on both individuals. Mitchy has spoken about the emotional strain and business disruptions from online campaigns against her accounts.

The dispute underscores deeper issues in Nigeria’s influencer space. Questions linger about transparency in donations, the blending of philanthropy with politics, and the rapid escalation of personal conflicts online.

Neither VDM nor Seyi Tinubu has issued fresh statements on the most recent comments as of Tuesday. The situation continues to generate discussions across platforms, reflecting public fascination with celebrity and political intersections.

This development adds another layer to a saga that began with good intentions in education support but evolved into accusations, apologies, and renewed hostilities. Many Nigerians now watch to see whether the parties will pursue legal routes or allow the matter to fade once more.
