The storm between outspoken activist and influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and popular Warri-based preacher Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin just took a dramatic turn that has everyone talking. On September 23, 2025, news broke that music streaming giant Audiomack had pulled down VDM’s controversial diss track following a court order, adding more heat to an already sizzling scandal.

The saga started months ago when VDM, who is no stranger to controversy, released a diss song that called out several public figures, with Prophet Fufeyin as one of his major targets. The track, widely circulated under the name “Ole,” quickly went viral, sparking endless arguments across social media timelines. While many listeners praised VDM for “fearlessly speaking truth to power,” others accused him of crossing the line into defamation.

Prophet Fufeyin, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and large following, didn’t take the matter lightly. He dragged VDM before the FCT High Court in Abuja, filing a suit reportedly worth ₦1 billion. By July, the court had already granted an injunction restraining VDM from publishing or sharing any defamatory content about the preacher. Despite that, the diss track lingered on streaming platforms, attracting more streams and more controversy.

Then came the hammer. On September 23, lawyers representing Prophet Fufeyin confirmed that they had written directly to Audiomack, notifying the platform of the existing court orders. In what looks like swift compliance, Audiomack deleted the track, making it unavailable for listeners. For many fans who went back to stream the song, it was gone, sparking fresh rounds of gossip about whether the preacher’s influence and the courts had silenced VDM.

The legal drama isn’t over yet. The case, registered as Suit No. FCT/CV/3340/2024, was adjourned to October 27, 2025, for continuation of hearing. That means more fireworks are expected in the weeks ahead as both camps prepare to return to court.

On social media, reactions came in fast and furious. Supporters of Prophet Fufeyin celebrated the move as justice being served, warning that freedom of speech doesn’t cover outright defamation. Meanwhile, VDM’s fans argued that this was censorship in disguise, claiming that the system is being used to shut down voices that challenge powerful men of God. The debates have only added more fuel to the gossip fire.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a diss track has been at the center of Nigerian entertainment drama. But this case feels different because it blends religion, celebrity culture, and the legal system all in one. It’s a clash of personalities with massive followings on both sides, ensuring that every new update becomes instant trending material online.

For now, the diss track may be silenced on Audiomack, but the noise surrounding it is louder than ever. With a billion-naira lawsuit hanging in the balance and the next court date already set, Nigerians are glued to their screens waiting for the next twist. One thing is certain: whether in the courtroom or on the internet, this scandal is far from over.
