Kigali woke up on November 9, 2025 to a scandal nobody saw coming.
Rising Afropop star Yampano, real name Florien Uworizagwira, found himself trending for all the wrong reasons when an intimate video with his girlfriend surfaced on WhatsApp and Snapchat.
The footage, recorded consensually in May 2025 as a private keepsake, was never meant for public eyes.

According to Yampano, the person who betrayed him was someone he once called family: his former housemate and manager Patrick Ishimwe, better known as Pazzo Man.
The two had shared a house in Busanza, Kicukiro until Yampano asked Pazzo to leave, his girlfriend wanted privacy. That eviction appears to have been the trigger.
Police say Pazzo allegedly sneaked the video straight from Yampano’s unlocked phone and unleashed it out of revenge.
Within hours it was everywhere. By November 10, the clip had spread to Telegram channels and adult sites, racking up thousands of views.
Yampano immediately filed a complaint. On November 26, police arrested three men: Pazzo, YouTuber Cyprien “Djihad” Uzabakiriho, and distributor Nestor Kwizera. A fourth suspect, John “Kjohn” Kalisa, appeared in court wearing the now-infamous orange singlet.
The case is being heard under Rwanda’s strict cybercrime and privacy laws, with suspects facing up to two years behind bars.
As the courtroom drama continues, one thing is clear: a moment of trust turned into a nightmare that reminds every celebrity, your closest friend can become your worst enemy.
