The wait is finally over, and the buzz is real. On July 16, 2025, the organizers of Big Brother Naija officially announced that Season 10 will premiere with a two-night launch on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, 2025. This announcement has not only lit up social media but also reignited nationwide anticipation for what is now Africa’s biggest reality TV show. With a jaw-dropping grand prize of ₦150 million up for grabs, the stakes have never been higher.

Big Brother Naija Season 10 promises to be unlike anything fans have seen before. The show's executive team at MultiChoice Nigeria held a press briefing in Lagos where they confirmed that this season would go “back to the basics” a cryptic but exciting hint that has fans speculating what twists may lie ahead. While they didn't reveal the official season theme just yet, they made it clear that everything will be unveiled during the double premiere weekend.

One major detail that has left tongues wagging is the whopping ₦150 million grand prize. This figure is the highest in BBNaija history and a significant jump from the ₦100 million won by KellyRae, the first married winner, in Season 9. However, Executive Head of Content at MultiChoice, Busola Tejumola, added an unexpected twist - she hinted that the winner may not walk away with all of the prize money. That statement alone has triggered endless theories among fans online, with some guessing that tasks or penalties may affect how much the eventual champion receives.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the face of BBNaija for years, is set to return as host once again, bringing his signature class, wit, and subtle drama to the stage. According to Tejumola, this season will feature 24/7 coverage on DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and online via Showmax. Live eviction shows and weekly tasks will also be broadcast on Africa Magic channels, ensuring fans won't miss a beat.

Auditions for the upcoming season were held earlier this year, with thousands of hopefuls showing up across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16 to 18 after a nationwide online registration. From the buzz on the street and viral audition clips, it’s clear the casting team had no shortage of fiery personalities to choose from. And if BBNaija’s history is anything to go by, we can expect drama, romance, alliances, betrayals, and of course, shocking evictions.

The show’s organizers also used the press event to highlight BBNaija’s evolution over the last nine seasons. With 197 housemates, 709 cumulative days aired, and over ₦637 million awarded in total, BBNaija has grown into a cultural powerhouse. For many Nigerians, it’s more than entertainment - it’s a lifestyle, a career launchpad, and a national obsession. Influencers, musicians, and actors alike have emerged from the BBNaija house to build empires, all thanks to the spotlight the show offers.

As expected, major brands are again lining up to be part of the BBNaija frenzy. Guinness Nigeria has secured the gold sponsorship this season, joined by a lineup of heavyweights including Pepsi, Aquafina, Bet King, Innoson Motors, Haier Thermocool, Smirnoff, Checkers Custard, Golden Penny, and many others. The sponsor list alone signals the enormous commercial value and fan loyalty the show commands.

Season 10 is set to run for 10 weeks, ending on Sunday, October 5, 2025. While fans are eager to meet the housemates and get a taste of the drama ahead, one thing is already clear: BBNaija is not just back it’s bigger, bolder, and more unpredictable than ever.

With the countdown officially on, social media is already buzzing with theories, excitement, and wild predictions. Whether you love it or love to hate it, one thing’s for sure: come July 26, Nigeria will be watching.
