A chilling video has emerged showing Nigerian Army troops interrogating suspected bandits arrested in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The men, caught patrolling in a security vehicle armed with AK-47 rifles, were seen with hands tied, facing tough questions from soldiers.
One suspect, speaking in a mix of Hausa and Pidgin English, dropped a bombshell: "Ilorin government na him give us this motor and the weapons."
He swore repeatedly, insisting it was the truth and mentioning "oga Victor" as the one who collected the gear for their supposed patrols.
"We have been here for quite a while... Wallahi, na the truth I dey tell you," he pleaded.
The arrests come amid escalating banditry in the region.
Just days earlier, on December 7, three young men were kidnapped nearby, with ransoms demanded at ₦10 million each.
Locals live in constant fear as attacks mount.
Yet, as of December 14, neither the Kwara State government nor the Nigerian Army has commented on these grave allegations.
The video, first shared by Sahara Reporters on December 13, has gone viral, fueling whispers of deeper involvement.
Is this a desperate lie from cornered criminals, or a glimpse into something more sinister?
Residents demand answers and a thorough investigation.
In a state plagued by insecurity, trust hangs by a thread.
